About this opportunity

The Anne and Eldon Foote Scholarships in Nursing are awarded to students with satisfactory academic achievement who are registered nurses with active registration, presently working or who have previously worked in the field of nursing, and are returning to full or part time post-secondary studies in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing After Degree Program at the University of Alberta. Recipients are selected based on academic standing achieved on the Diploma in Nursing and demonstrated leadership through involvement and participation in activities within the nursing profession. Preference is given to students who are First Nation, Inuit, or MΓ©tis people of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2). Financial need is also considered. In the event that there are no qualified candidates in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Collaborative Program, students enrolled in the third or fourth year of the basic collaborative nursing program will be considered, with preference again given to Indigenous applicants.
