Annual Meeting Registration Waivers

During years when the AMS annual meeting is held online, the American Musicological Society offers Annual Meeting Registration Waivers to international applicants from countries with a per-capita Gross Domestic Product (GDP) below $41,000. These waivers are intended to support annual meeting attendance by individuals for whom a U.S. dollar-denominated registration fee may present an unduly high financial barrier given the prevailing wages and prices in their home countries. Recipients of Annual Meeting Registration Waivers will receive full waivers of the annual meeting registration fee. Applicants from eligible countries who are accepted to present at the annual meeting will automatically receive an Annual Meeting Registration Waiver. Remaining waivers will be awarded by lottery. Applicants do not need to be presenting at the annual meeting to be eligible. The waivers are only offered during years when the AMS annual meeting is held fully online.
