About This Opportunity

The Anstice MBA Scholarship for Community Leadership is a tuition fee scholarship designed to support emerging business leaders to study a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Sydney Business School. Established from a generous donation from prominent alumnus David Anstice, the scholarship offers support to emerging business leaders from the social enterprise, not-for-profit sector, including charities and NGOs operating in Australia or internationally. The scholarship is dedicated to the MBA program with the intention of assisting emerging leaders in community organisations acquire world class business and management skills. Preference is given to applicants working in the not-for-profit sector, especially charities. The scholarship covers tuition fees for up to four years for part-time students, along with additional financial support for travel costs associated with the International Business Project unit of study. Selection is based on eligibility for the MBA program, experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, collaboration with for-profit and/or government organisations, development of sustainable initiatives, leadership in coordinating successful projects, and personal achievements recognized in the community. The selection process includes a multi-stage assessment with a discussion forum, written assessment, and final interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark of 65 and remain enrolled part-time with a minimum of 18 credit points per year. Scholarship holders are invited to represent the University of Sydney Business School at networking events and promote the MBA program through blog submissions and participation in relevant events.
