The Anthony G. Petti Memorial Scholarship in Renaissance Literature was established in memory of Dr. Anthony Petti, professor of English at the University of Calgary and founder/director of the Calgary Renaissance Singers & Players. The scholarship honors his notable scholarship and creativity in Renaissance Literature and Music. It is offered annually to encourage studies in two of Dr. Petti's areas of expertise: Renaissance Literature and Music. The award supports continuing undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts who demonstrate academic merit in Renaissance Literature courses covering Old English to Sixteenth Century and Shakespeare. Established through donations from family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Petti, this memorial scholarship recognizes excellence in the study of Renaissance literary works.
