ANU Humanitarian Scholarship

The ANU Humanitarian Scholarship is an annual award offered by the Australian National University to provide financial support to students from refugee backgrounds so they may access higher education. The scholarship provides both a stipend and a 100% tuition fee waiver for students commencing their first undergraduate program. The stipend is paid in equal instalments at the beginning of each semester over four years, with higher amounts in the first two years ($21,132 per year) and continued support in years three and four ($13,680 per year). The total value of the scholarship is $69,624 plus full tuition fee coverage. This scholarship is specifically designed to support refugees and asylum seekers who hold Temporary Protection Visas, Safe Haven Enterprise Visas, or are on Bridging Visa Type A or E. The award aims to remove financial barriers to higher education for one of the most vulnerable student populations, enabling them to pursue any undergraduate program at ANU.
