About This Opportunity

The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. This specific opportunity seeks a qualified postdoctoral candidate to apply remote sensing data and high resolution models to the coastal regions. The overall goal is to better understand the processes leading to coastal upwelling and the temporal and spatial variability from the seasonal to climate scale. The research will be conducted at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California under the guidance of Dr. Jorge Vazquez (primary advisor) and Dr. Dimitris Menemenlis (collaborator).
