The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of St Andrews invites applicants for the Applied Environmental Sciences MSc to apply for a Women in Mining (WIM) UK Scholarship. This scholarship provides one tuition fee award for one academic year. Founded in 2006, Women in Mining UK (WIM UK) advocates and speaks for women in the mining sector, informing industry participants and decision-makers of the challenges and opportunities women face in pursuing careers in mining companies and other mining-related businesses. The award is available to students from Scotland and the rest of the UK studying full-time or part-time. Applicants must have achieved a minimum 2:1 undergraduate BSc or BEng, or have equivalent experience. The scholarship application requires supporting documents including an academic or professional reference, university transcripts, and a CV detailing academic background and research experience. Applicants must also provide statements describing their commitment to a career in the Earth and environmental science sector and explaining how the funding will help them attend the MSc course.
