Arbetarskrivares stipendium

Arbetarskrivares Stipendium has been awarded since 1995 and is given annually at the association's annual meeting in March. The scholarship, worth 5,000 Swedish kronor, is intended for promising writers who have not yet published their own book. Eligible submissions can include short stories, poems, or excerpts from larger unpublished works, with a maximum length of 15,000 characters including spaces (approximately 6 A4 pages with 1.5 line spacing in Times New Roman 11pt). The scholarship committee specifically seeks texts that depict contemporary society, working life, or social contexts. Applicants must submit anonymously, with their name and contact information in a sealed envelope marked with the work's title on the outside, which will only be opened after the winner is selected.
