Arbets- och långtidsstipendium - Film

The working and long-term grant (Arbets- och långtidsstipendium) provides film professionals the opportunity to conduct and deepen their artistic activities. The grant is available for film directors, cinematographers, animators, documentary filmmakers, and film editors who are professionally active in Sweden. The grants are offered in four different durations: one-year, two-year, five-year, and ten-year stipends. One and two-year grants are tax-free, while five and ten-year grants are taxable. The selection is based on the quality of the artistic work and the applicant's financial needs. The Swedish Arts Grants Committee (Konstnärsnämnden) determines the duration of the grant awarded. Applicants must be resident in Sweden or conduct most of their artistic work there, cannot be studying more than 50% at the time of decision, and cannot have received tax-free working grants for more than two consecutive years.
