About this opportunity
The working grant and long-term grant for music provides musicians, composers, music producers, and conductors the opportunity to pursue and deepen their artistic practice. The grant is available in one-year, two-year, five-year, and ten-year formats. One and two-year grants are tax-free, while five and ten-year grants are taxable. The grants support professional artists who earn their living wholly or partially through their artistic work and regularly present their art to audiences. The Swedish Arts Grants Committee determines the length of the grant based on the applicant's artistic quality and financial need. The selection process emphasizes the quality of submitted work samples and reference materials while considering the applicant's economic circumstances. The committee strives for geographic distribution across Sweden and supports diverse artistic expressions.
