About this opportunity

Arktis 2030 is a state subsidy scheme that supports the Norwegian government's High North policy and contributes to sustainable social development in Nordland, Troms, and Finnmark counties. The scheme is managed by Troms County Municipality in close cooperation with Nordland and Finnmark County Municipalities with a regional perspective. The grant funds are intended to develop knowledge, infrastructure, and capacity in the High North regions in line with national and regional priorities. Projects must ensure that new knowledge, technology, and/or competence about the High North regions are put into use. The initiatives from the projects must have an effect throughout Northern Norway and contribute to a comprehensive High North perspective in line with the government's High North policy. Main projects can be awarded grants up to 6 million kroner per project over a project period of up to five years, with the possibility of a one-year extension upon application. Projects can receive grants for up to 50 percent of approved costs. Applications are evaluated on a competitive basis and must be anchored in regional goals, strategies, and/or plans from at least one of the counties of Nordland, Troms, and Finnmark.
