Army ROTC Scholarships

About This Opportunity

Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships provide financial support to help cover college education costs while students gain valuable leadership skills. These scholarships are awarded based on academic achievements and can be applied to any of over 1,000 participating schools, covering either tuition and fees or room and board. All ROTC scholarships include an additional $420 monthly stipend throughout the school year for living expenses, along with $1,200 annually for books. Eligible applicants include high school students enrolling in college, current college students, and active-duty enlisted Soldiers. High school students can apply upon completion of their junior year, while college students have access to four-year, three-year, or two-year scholarship options depending on their academic timeline. Special scholarship programs are also available for nursing students and enlisted Soldiers through the Green to Gold program. Acceptance of an ROTC scholarship requires a future service obligation of eight years in the Army, which may include active duty and/or service in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard depending on the scholarship type. Scholarship recipients who wish to exit the program may do so after their freshman year of college without any obligation.
