Arnold Henderson Memorial Awards

The Arnold Henderson Memorial Awards are awarded annually to student-athletes who are members of the Golden Bears or Pandas basketball teams at the University of Alberta. Two awards are given each year - one to a member of the Golden Bears basketball team and one to a member of the Pandas basketball team. Recipients must be entering their fourth year of an undergraduate program or be enrolled as a master's degree student. Selection is based on satisfactory academic standing with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrated community service. Special attention is given to nominees who are pursuing a career in teaching and/or coaching. These awards were established through endowed funds by Doris Henderson to honor Arnold Henderson for his many contributions in fostering basketball in Alberta.
