Arendal kommune offers financial support for concerts, exhibitions, and other cultural events, local history book publications, record releases, film production, and other cultural initiatives. The support is typically provided in the form of deficit guarantees or support purchases. Applications must be submitted at least one month before the event or initiative is to be implemented. Applicants must submit a description of the initiative, timing, target audience, and a budget with expected income and expenses. Before payment can be made, a report with accounts and copies of receipts must be submitted, usually within two months after completion.
