About this opportunity
The Arthur and Gladys McGinnis Future of Agriculture Award was established in 2013 as part of Lakeland College's Centennial Campaign. This scholarship is available to students graduating from any Agricultural Sciences diploma program at Lakeland College who wish to continue full-time studies at the university level. Recipients must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Agriculture at Lakeland College or any Canadian university.
The award recognizes academic excellence and leadership qualities in students committed to advancing their education in agricultural sciences. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum 3.0 GPA and show evidence of leadership in student and community affairs. Preference is given to deserving students who choose to continue their university-level studies at Lakeland College.
Successful applicants must provide a copy of their acceptance or provisional acceptance letter from the institution they plan to attend. The scholarship supports students transitioning from diploma-level agricultural education to university-level degree programs, helping to develop the next generation of agricultural professionals and leaders in Canada.
