Arthur & Irene Burckel Scholarship

The Arthur & Irene Burckel Scholarship is awarded to select School of Information Studies (SOIS) new and continuing graduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship supports students enrolled part-time or full-time in the Master's in Library and Information Science (MLIS) program. Recipients must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA, maintain academic merit with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, make satisfactory academic progress in the MLIS program, earn at least a B in all core classes, and be registered for a minimum of 3 INFOST credits by May 1. The scholarship is named in honor of Arthur & Irene Burckel and is administered through the UWM Foundation.
