Arthur Joseph Deakin Engineering Scholarship

The Arthur Joseph Deakin Engineering Scholarship provides financial support to domestic students from regional, rural or remote areas who are experiencing financial hardship and are commencing undergraduate engineering studies at The University of Queensland. The scholarship offers up to $30,000 and is available for the duration of the student's studies. Established in 2025, the scholarship is funded by the Deakin Bequest and an additional related bequest maintained on trust by UQ. Recipients are selected based on evidence of financial hardship and personal qualities including strength of interest in pursuing a career in engineering. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering, or dual engineering program.
