About this opportunity

The Arts Advocates Scholarship provides financial support to students pursuing majors in Fine Arts at U.S. colleges and universities. This scholarship recognizes students with exemplary artistic talent who demonstrate financial need, good character, and documented academic accomplishments. The scholarship supports students studying various artistic disciplines including painting, illustration, sculpture, design, music, dance, theater, creative writing, photography, digital art, motion design, film, and architecture. Applicants must demonstrate clear professional career goals in the arts and provide evidence of extracurricular activities and honors both in school and from the community. The scholarship is available to current high school seniors (12th grade) and current college students who are U.S. citizens with at least one year of residency in Sarasota or Manatee Counties in Florida. Awards vary in number and amount, with a maximum of $5,000 per recipient. The scholarship is renewable for continuing students who maintain eligibility requirements.
