About this opportunity
The Arts & Humanities Studentships programme at King's College London offers PhD funding for students pursuing doctoral research in arts and humanities disciplines. Starting October 2026, the programme provides 13 fully funded studentships, including 2 AHRC Doctoral Landscape Awards, plus four fees-only studentships. The programme supports all PhD programmes offered by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, covering 17 subject areas including philosophy, classics, history, literature, creative writing, film studies, music, theology, and more. Both UK and international applicants are eligible to apply, with up to 30% of studentships available for international students. Fully-funded studentships provide 3.5 years of support (full-time) or 7 years (part-time) and include full tuition fees (including international fees), an annual stipend at the UKRI rate, research training and support grants, dedicated postgraduate researcher workspace, and additional funds for research travel, fieldwork and conference attendance. Fees-only studentships cover full tuition fees, research training support, workspace access, and additional research funds. Students who have already begun doctoral studies at King's are eligible providing they will have completed no more than 12 months of full-time study when the studentship begins.
