About this opportunity

The Arts Scholarships programme supports students who want to develop their artistic interests alongside their studies at the University of Bath. Each scholarship runs for one academic year with 12 scholarship places available. Successful applicants receive £1,000 to support their artistic development, engage in a skills development programme with sessions on topics like navigating collaborations, networking skills, and delivering artistic workshops. Scholars are given opportunities to showcase their talents through a formal showcase at The Edge, and are matched with a mentor from the artistic community where possible. The programme includes skills development sessions scheduled on Wednesday afternoons focusing on various topics adapted year by year. Scholars organize and participate in a formal showcase event attended by local artists, university staff and friends, providing unique experience to develop transferrable skills like event management and self-promotion. The scholarship is open to any art form including performing arts, technical/backstage skills, visual arts, musical excellence, or new art forms like DJ, gaming design, and interactive design.
