About this opportunity
The University of Manchester offers six fully-funded scholarships to women from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Timor-Leste completing specific master's courses in STEM subjects. Developed by the British Council and funded by the UK International Development from the UK government through the ASEAN-UK Supporting the Advancement of Girls' Education (ASEAN-UK SAGE) programme, the scholarships provide funding for women from eligible countries to complete a one-year master's degree in the UK. Since 2020, the British Council has delivered the programme in partnership with selected UK universities and research institutions and has awarded over 300 scholarships. The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend, IELTS exam fee, return travel, study-related costs, visa and insurance costs, and reasonable adjustments for scholars with disabilities.
