About this opportunity
The Ash Music Scholarships provide free instrumental tuition at the Royal College of Music for undergraduate students at Imperial College London. Named in honor of Professor Sir Eric Ash FRS, former Rector of Imperial College, these prestigious scholarships are tenable for three years of a first undergraduate course. Five scholarships are awarded annually, with the top scholar receiving the Coldstream Guards' Scholarship which includes an additional £100 per year. The scholarships are funded by Imperial College Trust and aim to support musically talented students who demonstrate excellence in their instrumental or vocal performance. Scholars are expected to actively participate in Imperial College's musical life, typically through the Imperial College Symphony Orchestra or one of the college's choirs, while also benefiting from professional instruction at the Royal College of Music. The program provides numerous performance opportunities through Imperial's various instrumental and vocal ensembles on campus.
