About this opportunity

The Ashurst Shanghai Winter School Scholarship was established by a donation from Ashurst (formerly Blake Dawson) to support students from the University of Sydney Law School who are participating in the Shanghai Winter School, held at the East China University of Political Science and Law. This scholarship provides financial support valued up to $2,600 as a one-off payment to eligible law students. To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled either full time or part time in the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) within the Sydney Law School, have been accepted into the Shanghai Winter School program, and enrol in LAWS3068 or LAWS5368 Chinese Laws and Chinese Legal Systems. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and financial hardship, with selection made by a committee consisting of the Head of School and Dean of the University of Sydney Law School or their delegate.
