The Ashworth Charitable Trust provides grants to small to medium-sized charities in the United Kingdom focused on humanitarian causes. The Trust prioritizes smaller charities where funds can make a larger proportional difference, and projects over core costs. They prioritize projects where the impact of funding is clearly demonstrated. The Trust receives very high numbers of applications and is unable to support all worthy causes that apply. Grant levels typically do not exceed £3,000, with very occasional grants of up to £5,000. If a charity receives a grant, they would not normally be eligible for another donation for at least 36 months. The Trust supports charities addressing social, physical, or educational rehabilitation, supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged populations, victims of torture or human rights abuses, homeless shelters, women's refuges, youth clubs in disadvantaged areas, and sustainable development projects in the developing world.
