About this opportunity

ASPROM offers grants up to a maximum of £500 to support projects relating to ancient mosaics. There are two types of grants available: grants to individuals to support costs of travel and/or publication relating to the study of ancient mosaics and/or work on conservation or preservation of mosaics, and grants to UK museums or sites to support costs of one-off or ongoing projects relating to the presentation, conservation or study of ancient mosaics. Individual grant applicants must be ASPROM members conducting research for a degree or publication of a book or article on ancient mosaics, or participating in a conservation project. Museum or site grants can be applied for by owners, directors, supporting organizations, or individuals acting on behalf of a museum or site. Successful applicants are expected to submit a short illustrated report suitable for publication in the journal Mosaic or the ASPROM Newsletter, or provide a talk at ASPROM symposia. Awards are made twice per year with deadlines of January 31 and August 31.
