About this opportunity
The Assistant Grant (Assistentstipendium) enables artists to develop alongside a more experienced colleague over a period of 5-10 months. Recipients work 50% as an assistant and can dedicate the remaining time to their own artistic work. Applicants must independently contact the artist they wish to assist and agree on work responsibilities. The grant cannot be used for collaborations already started or to assist a regular teacher from the applicant's education. The grant aims to support artistic development through mentorship and hands-on experience in professional artistic practice. Recipients are supported financially to gain valuable experience working with established artists while maintaining their own creative practice.
