About This Opportunity

The AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship is designed for passionate young leaders aged 18-30 who are creating positive change for people, society, and the planet. The Fellowship supports young advocates working within registered non-profit organisations to create actionable change in three key areas: advancing health equity with a focus on preventing non-communicable diseases among young people or supporting those living with rare diseases; taking action on climate and nature by advocating for mitigation of harmful climate effects on youth health and well-being; and building health systems resilience by contributing to stronger health systems that prioritise earlier intervention. Selected Fellows receive comprehensive support including a fully-funded scholarship to attend the 2026 One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, access to networks including the One Young World Ambassador Network and YHP Alumni group, structured learning and development opportunities such as the One Young World Academy mini-MBA programme and mentorship from AstraZeneca colleagues, and critically, grant funding of either USD $10,000 or USD $50,000 to implement their proposed health-focused projects. Applicants must be founders or leaders of registered non-profit organisations that have been operational for at least 3 years and meet specific financial criteria. They must propose a 6-12 month project focusing on health equity, climate and nature action, or health systems resilience. The Fellowship emphasizes working with underserved communities and creating measurable impact. The program is part of AstraZeneca's broader commitment to youth health and sustainability, providing young leaders with the tools, resources, and networks needed to drive a global health movement led by and for young people.
