Asylum Seeker Fee Waiver

Brunel University of London offers the Asylum Seeker Fee Waiver to support applicants who are still seeking asylum in the UK. The fee waiver provides a substantial reduction in tuition fees by reducing the overseas tuition fee to match the home tuition fee rate for the chosen course. This waiver is available for Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught, and Postgraduate Research applicants starting in the 2026/27 academic year. No separate application is required as all students are automatically considered based on information supplied in their course application and a completed fee status assessment. The fee waiver will be applied once for each eligible level of study, subject to normal progression criteria having been met. The reduction applies only to tuition fees and not to additional fees such as resubmission, repeat modules, or re-sit fees. Recipients must hold an ongoing UK asylum application and provide their Application Registration Card (ARC) or other official evidence as part of their application.
