About This Opportunity
The ATCO Centennial Award is an annual scholarship established to honor the 100th anniversary of engineering as an organized profession. The award is available to Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents with satisfactory academic standing who are entering the third year of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta. Recipients are selected based on a combination of academic standing, well-rounded personality, interpersonal skills, and leadership potential as demonstrated through involvement in extracurricular activities. The scholarship was endowed in 1987 by Alberta Power Limited (now ATCO) and is administered through the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta.
