About this opportunity
The Australasian Pioneers' Club Travel Research Scholarship provides financial assistance to postgraduate research students for travel that is required as part of their research in Australian History. The scholarship has a maximum value of $12,000 and is available to master's by research or PhD students currently enrolled within the School of Humanities, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. The Australasian Pioneers' Club was founded in 1910 to foster mutual help and friendship among descendants of pioneers, to foster the pioneering spirit in Australasia, and to promote discussion of Australasian history. The club provided funds to the University in 2008 to establish the Australasian Pioneers' Club Travel Bursary Fund. Recipients are selected based on academic merit, their area of study and research proposal, travel budget, and a personal statement demonstrating the requirements for travel as part of their research. The scholarship is paid as a lump sum payment upon receipt of the Scholarship Acceptance form.
