Awesome Foundation Chicago Chapter Monthly Grant

The Awesome Foundation Chicago chapter provides monthly no-strings-attached grants of $1,000 to support awesome ideas that make Chicagoland-based communities better. Since 2011, the chapter has funded diverse projects ranging from little free libraries and puppet shows to electron microscopes and temporary art installations. The foundation accepts applications on a rolling basis and reviews submissions monthly. Projects are selected by a group of trustees who evaluate proposals based on their potential to create positive community impact and awesomeness. There are no reporting requirements, restrictions on how funds are used, or expectations of repayment—just pure support for creative, community-minded ideas.
