AWSN Program Funding

AWSN (Alberta Women's Science Network) provides funding to programs that align with their mission to support women, girls, and underrepresented groups in the STEM community. The funding program supports a wide range of initiatives, from high school robotics teams and undergraduate students competing internationally, to covering speaker costs for events that reach diverse age groups and STEM fields across Alberta. In 2024, AWSN distributed over $30,000 in funding. The organization is unable to provide funding for for-profit activities, food costs, or volunteer recognition. Funding decisions are typically finalized by the end of August, with all applicants notified by early September and funds distributed by the end of October.
