Babeleigh Barton Community Benefit Fund

The Babeleigh Barton Community Benefit Fund was established in 2016 by a husband and wife to redistribute income from wind turbines on their farm in North Devon to their local parish of Parkham. The fund is administered by Devon Community Foundation and supports community groups and organizations that make a positive difference to the lives of local people. The fund focuses on nine key themes including assisting families in need, bringing people together, developing life skills, enabling disabled people, encouraging safety and resilience, helping people find and keep a home, keeping people safe and well, offering training and work opportunities, and promoting access to arts, culture and nature. This renewable energy community benefit fund aims to support local community development and improve quality of life for residents in the Parkham parish ward of North Devon.
