Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program is a prestigious Canadian fellowship supporting postdoctoral researchers across all disciplines. The program aims to develop research leadership by attracting and retaining top-tier postdoctoral talent both nationally and internationally. The fellowship provides significant financial support to enable postdoctoral researchers to focus on their research and position themselves as future research leaders. Note: This program is no longer accepting applications and has been replaced by the Canada Postdoctoral Research Award program. The fellowship was jointly administered by Canada's three federal research granting agencies: the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
