About This Opportunity

The Barbara and Enrique Tejerina Scholarship Fund was established by Enrique Tejerina, BS '76 and Barbara (née Schulz) Tejerina, BA '76, alumni of the University at Buffalo. This scholarship supports junior or senior students who are New York State residents with demonstrated financial need. Recipients must complete the FAFSA, maintain a GPA of 3.5 or better, and demonstrate strong academic performance throughout their undergraduate career. The scholarship alternates annually between two academic focus areas. In one year, preference is given to students majoring in Accounting in the School of Management. On alternate years, preference shifts to students majoring or minoring in Romance Languages and Literature in the College of Arts and Sciences. This alternating structure reflects the diverse academic backgrounds of the donors and provides support across business and humanities disciplines. Eligible students are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their completed General Application in the University at Buffalo scholarship portal. The award amount varies and is determined annually based on available funding.
