About this opportunity

BarentsKult is a support program managed by the Barents Secretariat targeting professional art and culture actors who wish to collaborate with colleagues in northern Sweden and Finland. The program promotes and finances projects within the field of arts and culture, primarily with participants from the Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish parts of the Barents region and all of Sápmi. Projects must involve collaboration between professional Northern Norwegian art and culture actors (or professional Sami actors from Southern Sápmi) and professional actors from the Finnish and/or Swedish parts of the Barents region. To receive support, Norwegian and foreign artists must create something new together through the project, such as a new theater or dance performance, new music, a joint art exhibition, or other cultural expressions. The program is funded by the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, the Ministry of Culture, and the county councils of Nordland, Troms, and Finnmark.
