Barnet and Welch Award in Drama

The Barnet and Welch Award in Drama is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering any year of, or convocating with, a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts (Honors) with a major in Drama, or a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama specializing in Technical Theatre Production or Stage Management. Selection is based on academic standing, demonstrated engagement in Community-Based or Applied Theatre and/or extracurricular theatre in the Department of Drama, demonstrated personal development and overall contribution to the drama program. Preference is given to students entering the third or fourth year of their program. This endowed award was established by David Barnet, Alan Welch and various donors to support outstanding drama students at the University of Alberta.
