Barrier Free: An Alberta Blue Cross Bursary

The Barrier Free Bursary is offered by Alberta Blue Cross to support recent high school graduates entering Red Deer Polytechnic who face special needs requiring extra expenses to attend college. This financial aid opportunity provides $1,000 to one full-time student registered in an undergraduate program of at least two years in duration. The bursary is awarded based on financial need and is designed to help students overcome barriers to accessing post-secondary education. Students who are already in receipt of other awards totaling more than $5,000 are not eligible. Recipients must be Alberta residents and demonstrate the extra costs they incur due to their special needs.
