Barrier Group Scholarship

The Barrier Group Scholarship is available to Indigenous students enrolled in specific apprenticeship programs at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). The scholarship supports students in Welding, Steamfitter-Pipefitter, Heavy Equipment Technician, Ironworker, or Boilermaker apprenticeship programs. The award is granted on the basis of satisfactory academic achievement. Apprentices must submit an application to be considered for this award and will only be eligible during the period in which they attend NAIT. This scholarship provides $1,000 CAD to help offset educational costs for eligible Indigenous apprentices.
