Barry Goodison Graduate Scholarship for Cryospheric Research

The Barry Goodison Graduate Scholarship for Cryospheric Research is an annual award valued at up to $5,000 provided to full-time graduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo. The scholarship supports students conducting cryospheric research or research in which the cryosphere is a significant factor. This award recognizes academic excellence and promotes advanced study in cryospheric science, a critical area of environmental research focusing on Earth's frozen regions including snow, ice, glaciers, and permafrost. Recipients are selected based on their research focus and academic merit, with a minimum cumulative average of 80% required. The scholarship is available to both masters and doctoral students, and is open to Canadian permanent residents as well as international students on study permits.
