Baw Baw Shire Scholarships

The Baw Baw Shire Scholarships are foundation scholarships offered by Federation University Australia in partnership with Baw Baw Shire Council to support students living within the Baw Baw Shire region. These scholarships provide financial assistance of $3,000 to students enrolled in Bachelor degree programs at the Gippsland campus. The scholarship is available to both new and continuing domestic students pursuing studies in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or Science. Two scholarships are available each year to eligible applicants who reside within the Baw Baw Shire municipality. Baw Baw Shire is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Victoria, known for innovation in manufacturing, design and agribusiness. The region is home to a major dairy sector and innovative food processing companies. By supporting local students in these strategic study areas, the scholarship aims to contribute to the region's continued growth and development. Applications for the 2026 round open on January 5, 2026 and close on March 1, 2026. Recipients will be selected based on eligibility criteria including residency within the Baw Baw Shire and enrollment in one of the specified study areas at the Gippsland campus.
