BAYHOST: Scholarships for students and young academics from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe for summer language courses
About This Opportunity
BAYHOST offers scholarships for students and young academics from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine with intermediate German knowledge (at least B1-level) to attend summer German language courses at Bavarian institutions of higher education. The scholarships support approximately 4-week courses held on-site in Bavaria. The scholarship provides comprehensive support including course fees, accommodation, and a food allowance or board at a Bavarian higher education institution. Applicants must be enrolled at or working in an academic capacity at a higher education institution in one of the eligible countries, have completed at least 2 semesters with grades to prove this, and possess at least B1-level German language proficiency. The programme awards about 40 scholarships per year and provides one-time support with no renewal option. This funding opportunity is designed to enhance German language skills and cultural understanding for young academics from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
