About this opportunity
The BCS Computing teacher scholarship programme is a government funded financial incentive to train to teach computer science in England. For the academic year 2026-2027, a scholarship of £31,000, tax free, is available to support unsalaried trainee secondary school computer science teachers through their year of Initial Teacher Training (ITT). As well as funding, recipients receive support and guidance, high quality resources, a coaching programme, CPD opportunities, and access to an online scholars community through Computing at School. This scholarship is designed to attract talented individuals with strong academic backgrounds in computing to pursue teaching as a career and share their passion for the subject with the next generation.
