About This Opportunity

The Beacon Scholarship for Rural America is a bi-annual scholarship program offered by Freedom and Glory, Inc. (formerly Carrot-Top Industries). Since Fall 2018, this scholarship has been helping low-income students living in rural areas pursue their college education. The scholarship awards $1,000 to eligible recipients for the Spring and Fall semesters. The program is designed to support college-bound graduating high school seniors, current college students, or adult learners planning to enroll in accredited college programs. Recipients must demonstrate patriotism through community involvement, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, reside in a rural area, and meet specific low-income criteria. The scholarship reflects Freedom and Glory's dedication to patriotism and community growth across America. Winners are chosen by the company's owners, management, and staff, and scholarship checks are sent directly to the winner's college or university. The program awards one scholarship in the Spring semester and two scholarships in the Fall semester each academic year.
