Becas Chile Scholarship

Becas Chile is one of the Chilean government's main student funding schemes that supports Chilean citizens studying at postgraduate level overseas. The scholarship aims to contribute to Chile's innovation and competitiveness by funding master's and PhD studies (excluding LLM and MBA degrees). The program provides comprehensive financial support including full tuition fees, living expenses stipend, return flights, books stipend, health insurance, settling and returning allowance, and up to one year of language study in Chile if needed. Recipients must have either an unconditional offer from the University of Southampton or an offer conditional on English language. After completing their course, recipients must return to Chile and remain there for a specified period: Santiago residents must stay for twice the duration of their study abroad, while non-Santiago residents must stay for the same duration as their study abroad period.
