Beck Burn Wind Farm Community Fund

The Beck Burn Wind Farm Community Fund provides grants to volunteer-led or community groups within a 10 kilometre radius of Beck Burn Wind Farm in Cumbria. Funded by EDF Energy Renewables, the fund prioritizes groups within a 5 kilometre radius, with consideration for groups within the 10 kilometre area if they can demonstrate benefit to the 5 kilometre zone. The fund supports charitable, community activities across environmental, educational, sporting, and community-related areas. Projects may include improvements to community facilities, health and wellbeing initiatives, sports and recreation, culture and heritage projects, environmental sustainability, biodiversity and habitat conservation, and energy conservation. Awards normally range between £1,000 and £20,000 and can be allocated for multiple years. Applications are managed through Cumbria Community Foundation.
