The Beck Burn Wind Farm Community Fund Educational Bursaries provides education and training grants for individuals over the age of 16 living within specific Parish/Community Councils in Cumbria, UK, who are enrolled on a further education or training course to develop their skills and employability. Supported by EDF Energy Renewables, the fund prioritizes vocational courses in renewables and energy-related fields, engineering, construction, health and safety, and other STEM-related subjects. The fund also supports courses that benefit local employment such as childcare, forestry, plumbing, joinery, electrical and other trades, haulage, and agriculture. Award amounts vary depending on the course type and year of study, with degree courses, modern apprenticeships, and NC/HNC/HND programs receiving between £100 and £1,500 per year, including potential equipment grants of up to £600 in the first year.
