About This Opportunity
The Beit Trust Postgraduate Scholarships are awarded for postgraduate study at British and South African partner universities. In 2025, the Trust awarded 21 scholarships through generous academic partnerships with leading institutions. The scholarships are for Master's programmes only, with one-year taught MSc programmes in the UK and two-year taught MSc programmes in South Africa. In exceptional cases, the Trust may extend support to PhD level for outstanding Beit Scholars. By Act of Parliament, the Trust supports only nationals of Zambia, Zimbabwe, or Malawi who are permanent residents of these countries and intend to return after completing their studies. The scholarship covers full tuition and academic fees, living allowance, UK visa and health surcharge costs, additional allowances for arrival, laptop and departure, and economy-class flights to and from the study destination. The Trust focuses on developmental disciplines including Medicine and Health, Engineering, Education, Economic Growth, Agriculture, and Conservation.
