Belong in STEM Scholars Program

The Belong in STEM Scholars Program at Northern Illinois University supports academically promising students with demonstrated financial need who are majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. This scholarship program is designed for students who will be juniors in Fall 2026, providing financial support to build professional skills and gain peer support throughout their junior and senior years. Successful applicants will receive up to $10,000 per academic year for up to 3 years, totaling a potential $30,000 in scholarship support. The program goes beyond financial assistance, offering comprehensive career development and networking activities, peer mentoring opportunities, research experiences, and internship opportunities.
