About this opportunity
The Gilman Scholarship programme has enabled US higher education students of limited financial means to study abroad since 2001. This programme funds approximately 40,000 scholars annually to travel to more than 150 countries. The scholarship provides financial support for undergraduate students who are Federal Pell Grant recipients to participate in credit-bearing study abroad programs or internships. Students must be applying to or accepted into programs in countries with U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2.
